Hypercholesterolemia and hypertriglyceridemia isolated or mixed (dyslipidemia type IIa, IIb, III, IV, V) in patients for whom diet or other non-drug therapeutic measures (such as weight loss or increased physical activity) were ineffective, especially in the presence of dyslipidemia-related risk factors such as hypertension and smoking.

How to take, the dosage

Traicor 145 mg tablets should be swallowed whole without chewing and with water. Traicor 145 mg can be taken at any time of the day, regardless of meals.

Interaction

Oral anticoagulants

Fenofibrate increases the effect of oral anticoagulants and may increase the risk of bleeding, which is associated with displacement of anticoagulant from binding sites with plasma proteins.

Special Instructions

Before starting treatment with Traicor 145 mg, appropriate treatment should be given to eliminate the cause of secondary hypercholesterolemia, such as uncontrolled type 2 diabetes, hypothyroidism, nephrotic syndrome, dysproteinemia, obstructive liver disease, effects of drug therapy, and alcoholism.

Contraindications

The drug is strictly contraindicated in the following cases:

high sensitivity to fenofibrate or other components of the drug,
liver failure (including liver cirrhosis),
severe renal insufficiency (creatinine clearance under 18 years of age (efficacy and safety not established),
having a history of photosensitivity or phototoxicity when treated with fibrates or ketoprofen,
calcular bladder disease,breastfeeding period,
congenital galactosemia, lactase deficiency, glucose and galactose malabsorption (the drug contains lactose),

allergic reaction to peanuts, peanut oil, soy lecithin or related products in history (due to risk of hypersensitivity reaction).

With caution
in hepatic and/or renal insufficiency, hypothyroidism; patients who abuse alcohol, elderly, with a history of hereditary muscle disease; with concomitant use of oral anticoagulants, HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors (see section “Interaction with other medicinal products”).
