Thymusamine has an immunostimulatory, immunomodulatory effect.

The thymus (thymus gland) belongs to the system of glands of internal secretion, is part of the immune system of the body and is responsible for restoration of structural and functional properties of immune cells as well as correction of immune dysfunctions through the system of T- and B-lymphocytes.

Thymus hormones influence T-lymphocytes that have differentiated, promote completion of T-cells maturation, enhance migration of bone marrow immunity precursors to the gland. In addition, thymus hormones are involved in regulation of functions of hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal system, having direct effect on activity of corresponding endocrine glands.

The normal functioning of the thymus provides a high level of anti-stress protection, anti-infectious and anti-tumor immunity, normalizes autoimmune processes. Thymusamine was developed to correct the immune system and to prevent disorders of hormoneogenesis occurring in various diseases.
