Tachocombe has a hemostatic, adsorptive effect. Substrate (fibrinogen) and catalytic (thrombin, etc.) activates blood clotting.
Pharmacodynamics
The plate adheres to the wound surface by polymerization, lasting 3-5 minutes and creating strong adhesion.
In contact with a bleeding wound or body fluids, the clotting factors in the covering layer of the plate – fibrinogen, thrombin, etc. – are released; by the action of the plate, the clotting factors are released. – are released; under the action of thrombin fibrinogen is converted into fibrin, aprotinin inhibits plasmin and inhibits fibrinolysis, a solid clot is formed. The plate itself is resorbed and subsequently (after 3-6 weeks) is replaced by connective tissue.

Tachacomb should be applied to surgical wound surfaces under sterile conditions.
The wound surface should be cleaned as much as possible (e.g., from blood, disinfectant and other fluids) before applying the Tachacomb sponge.
The side covered with clotting factors and marked in yellow, apply to the wound surface and press down for 3-5 minutes. When applying Tachacomb sponge to sufficiently moist wound surfaces, no additional moistening of the sponge is required. In case of application of Tachacomb on dry wound surfaces, the sponge should be moistened with physiological solution to achieve complete connection with the dry areas of the wound surface.
The moistened sponge should be used immediately!
The size and number of sponges depends on the size of the wound surface. The edges of the wound should overlap the sponge by 1-2 cm. If more than one sponge is required to cover the wound surface, the edges should overlap when applied to the wound. Sterile scissors can be used to cut sponges of the required size both before and after application to the wound surface. Unused sponge pieces should be destroyed.
