The substances contained in SuperOptic are designed primarily to protect against damage to the yellow spot, the retina, and the lens. The yellow spot is the central and most sensitive part of the retina. Visual acuity depends on the normal functioning of the yellow spot of the retina. Factors adversely affecting the functioning of the yellow spot include: age, tobacco smoking, long-term exposure of the eye to intense light (ultraviolet radiation), and a deficiency of so-called antioxidants.

The adverse effects of the above environmental factors are mainly due to the formation of free radicals. Free radicals are also formed in the body during many metabolic processes. Free radicals are atoms, molecules or ions that are highly chemically active against cell membrane constituents (destroy by oxidizing them). Excess free radicals contribute to ophthalmic pathologies such as macular degeneration and cataracts. When free radicals damage the yellow spot of the retina can lead to deterioration and often a complete loss of central vision, deterioration of color perception, difficulties in reading, and in exceptional cases – even blindness. Free radical damage to the lens of the eye may lead to the development of cataracts.

In addition to protecting the eyes against the adverse effects of environmental factors, substances contained in the product relieve symptoms of eye fatigue caused by prolonged visual concentration, increase visual acuity and improve visual adaptation in the dark. The carotenoids lutein and zeaxanthin are found in the yellow spot of the retina. Consumption of these substances leads to an increase in the optical density of the yellow spot, which contributes to the normal functioning of the retina and consequently to vision. Besides, these substances protect our eyes from sunlight and harmful ultraviolet rays, acting as a light filter, and protect against free radicals that are detrimental to the retina and particularly the yellow spot (antioxidant effect).
Strong antioxidant effect is also provided by vitamins C and E, omega-3 fatty acids and zinc, selenium, manganese and copper, which are part of antioxidant enzymes. Vitamin E also supports the normal functioning of the blood vessels of the retina and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), one of the constituents of omega-3 fatty acids, increases the sensitivity of the retina receptors.
Vitamin A in the retina is converted into rhodopsin, the visual pigment necessary for seeing at dusk and in low light. Vitamin A is also involved in the process of protecting the conjunctiva of the eye from drying out.

B vitamins play an important role in maintaining the physiological functions of the visual apparatus, improving vision by increasing the sensitivity of the retina and taking part in the functioning of the nervous system innervating the visual organ.
The substances included in the SuperOptic product, necessary for the normal functioning of the eye, are not synthesized in the human body and must be taken with food. In case of unbalanced diet, lack of physical activity, alcohol abuse, smoking, stress and fatigue it is necessary to supplement the regular diet with necessary elements.

How to take, the dosage

1 capsule per day. The capsule should be taken with a small amount of liquid.

It is recommended to take this product with meals. Do not chew or masticate.

Contraindications

Individual intolerance to the components of the product.

Pregnancy use

The product should not be taken by pregnant women and children under 12 years of age because data regarding the safety of lutein and zeaxanthin in these individuals is not available.
