Sulfacetamide belongs to the group of sulfonamides, its mechanism of action is associated with disruption of pathogenic microorganisms.
Indications
Sulfacyl sodium eye drops are used as a treatment for inflammations of the anterior eye (conjunctivitis, blepharitis, gonococcal eye lesions in newborns (blennorrhea), chlamydial eye lesions, purulent corneal ulcers) that have been caused by microorganisms sensitive to the action of sulfacetamide.

Directions for use
Topically, 1-2 drops are put into each conjunctival sac 4-6 times a day.
Special Instructions
Patients with hypersensitivity to furosemide, thiazide diuretics, sulfonylurea, or carbohydrate inhibitors may have hypersensitivity to sulfacetamide.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity.
Side effects
Burning, lacrimation, threading, itching in the eyes, allergic reactions.
Pregnancy use
It is possible to use sulfacetamide for treatment of pregnant and nursing mothers by prescription of the treating physician if the estimated benefit to the mother exceeds the potential risk to the fetus and child.
