Synopsis

The gut microbiota of a healthy person consists of 90% of bifidobacteria – microorganisms necessary for normal human life.

Inappropriate diet, bad habits, bad environmental conditions, use of antibiotics reduce the number of bifidobacteria in the intestine and their place is immediately taken by pathogenic microbes, harmful to humans.

This disruption of the biological balance between conditionally-pathogenic and beneficial microbiota is called dysbacteriosis, which leads to a significant decrease of the colonization resistance of the mucosa of the gastrointestinal tract. Unfortunately, currently about 95% of the Russian population suffers from intestinal dysbacteriosis.

In this clinical and laboratory syndrome, normal digestion is disturbed, diarrhea or constipation, spastic abdominal pain, increased gas, allergic reactions appear. In the future, this condition leads to deterioration of the liver and pancreas, reduced immunity, trampling, diseases of the musculoskeletal system and other pathologies.

Description of the composition and action: STIMBIFID PLUS metaprebiotic is an innovative development of Russian scientists of the Scientific Society “Microbiota” based on deep fundamental research of the intestinal microbiota as well as safe and effective methods of its correction.

The research was the basis of the “Scientific discovery” and is protected by two patents of the Russian Federation. Metaprebiotic STIMBIFID PLUS restores individual intestinal microbiota creating preferential conditions for the reproduction of bifidobacteria, lactobacilli and E. coli which, by suppressing the growth of pathogenic microbiota, displace them from the body.

Substantial growth of normobiota leads to increased colonization resistance of the gastrointestinal mucosa. The metaprebiotic STIMBIFID PLUS is a further development and profound optimization of the prebiotic STIMBIFID and consists of two components – prebiotic and metabiotic.

The narrow prebiotic component – natural fructooligosaccharides (FOS) and fructopolysaccharides (FPS) with an optimized ratio of short (GFn, n=2-8) and long (GFn, n=2-60) chains, which ensures reduction of bifidobacteria by exclusive nutrition throughout the colon. The metabiotic component is calcium lactate.
