Preparation improving trophic and tissue regeneration, for external use.
Solcoseryl is a deproteinized hemodialysate containing a wide range of low molecular weight components of dairy calf blood cells and serum with a molecular weight of 5000 D (glycoproteins, nucleosides and nucleotides, oligopeptides, amino acids).
Solcoseryl has been found to have the following properties:
– improves the transport of oxygen and glucose to cells under conditions of hypoxia;
– increases the synthesis of intracellular ATP and helps to increase the proportion of aerobic glycolysis and oxidative phosphorylation;
– activates reparative and regenerative processes in tissues;
– stimulates proliferation of fibroblasts and synthesis of collagen in the vascular wall.
The Solcoseryl gel does not contain as ancillary components of fat, thanks to which it is easily washed off. It promotes the formation of granulation tissue and the elimination of exudate.
From the moment of appearance of fresh granulation and drying of the wound it is recommended to use Solcoseryl ointment which contains fat as excipients and forms a protective film on the wound surface.
Solcoseryl gel is used in the initial stage of treatment and is applied to fresh wounds, wounds with wet discharge or ulcers with wetting phenomena.
The Solcoseryl ointment is primarily used to treat dry (nonsoaking) wounds.
– minor injuries (abrasions, scratches, cuts);
– burns of 1st and 2nd degree (sunburns, thermal burns);
– frostbites – hard-to-heal wounds (including trophic ulcers and pressure sores).
Deproteinized dialysate from calf blood
1 g of the gel contains:
The active ingredient:
Deproteinized dialysate from the blood of healthy dairy calves,
standardized chemically and biologically (in terms of dry matter) 4.15 mg;
water for injection.
How to take, the dosage
Applied directly to the wound surface after preliminary cleansing of the wound with a disinfecting solution.
Pre-treatment of trophic ulcers, as well as in cases of purulent wound infection requires preliminary surgical treatment.
The Solcoseryl gel is applied to fresh wounds, wounds with wet discharge, on sores with phenomena of oozing – with a thin layer on the cleaned wound 2-3 times a day. It is recommended to apply Solcoseril ointment to the areas where epithelialization has begun.
The use of Solcoseryl gel continues until the formation of pronounced granulation tissue on the damaged skin surface and drying of the wound.
Solcoseryl injections should not be mixed when administered with other drugs, especially – with phytoextracts.
Pharmaceutical incompatibility of Solcoseryl in the form of solution for injection with parenteral forms has been established:
- Ginkgo biloba extract,
- benciclane fumarate.
As solutions for dilution of Solcoseryl injection should be used only isotonic sodium chloride solution and 5% glucose solution.
The interaction of Solcoseryl with other topical medications has not been established.
In case of pain, redness of the skin near the place of application of Solcoseryl, secretion from the wound, increase in body temperature you should immediately consult a doctor.
If healing of the affected area is not observed within 2-3 weeks when using Solcoseryl, a doctor should be consulted.
Hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients of the drug.
With caution – with predisposition to allergic reactions.
In rare cases, allergic reactions (urticaria, hyperemia and swelling at the injection site, increase in body temperature) may develop.
In this case the drug should be discontinued and symptomatic treatment should be prescribed.
|Conditions of storage|
In a light-protected place at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C.
