Pharmaceutical group:
Preparation improving trophic and tissue regeneration, for external use.
Pharmic action:
Solcoseryl is a deproteinized hemodialysate containing a wide range of low molecular weight components of dairy calf blood cells and serum with a molecular weight of 5000 D (glycoproteins, nucleosides and nucleotides, oligopeptides, amino acids).
Solcoseryl has been found to have the following properties:
– improves the transport of oxygen and glucose to cells under conditions of hypoxia;
– increases the synthesis of intracellular ATP and helps to increase the proportion of aerobic glycolysis and oxidative phosphorylation;
– activates reparative and regenerative processes in tissues;
– stimulates proliferation of fibroblasts and synthesis of collagen in the vascular wall.
The Solcoseryl gel does not contain as ancillary components of fat, thanks to which it is easily washed off. It promotes the formation of granulation tissue and the elimination of exudate.
From the moment of appearance of fresh granulation and drying of the wound it is recommended to use Solcoseryl ointment which contains fat as excipients and forms a protective film on the wound surface.
Indications
The Solcoseryl ointment is primarily used to treat dry (nonsoaking) wounds.
– minor injuries (abrasions, scratches, cuts);
– burns of 1st and 2nd degree (sunburns, thermal burns);
– frostbites – hard-to-heal wounds (including trophic ulcers and pressure sores).
Active ingredient

1 g of the gel contains:
The active ingredient:
Deproteinized dialysate from the blood of healthy dairy calves,
standardized chemically and biologically (in terms of dry matter) 4.15 mg;

sodium carboxymethylcellulose;
propylene glycol;
water for injection.
How to take, the dosage
Applied directly to the wound surface after preliminary cleansing of the wound with a disinfecting solution.

The Solcoseryl gel is applied to fresh wounds, wounds with wet discharge, on sores with phenomena of oozing – with a thin layer on the cleaned wound 2-3 times a day. It is recommended to apply Solcoseril ointment to the areas where epithelialization has begun.
The use of Solcoseryl gel continues until the formation of pronounced granulation tissue on the damaged skin surface and drying of the wound.
Interaction
Solcoseryl injections should not be mixed when administered with other drugs, especially – with phytoextracts.
Pharmaceutical incompatibility of Solcoseryl in the form of solution for injection with parenteral forms has been established:
As solutions for dilution of Solcoseryl injection should be used only isotonic sodium chloride solution and 5% glucose solution.
The interaction of Solcoseryl with other topical medications has not been established.
