Solcoseryl is a tissue regeneration stimulator.
It is a deproteinized dialysate from the blood of dairy calves containing a wide range of low molecular weight cellular and serum components with a molecular weight of 5000 D (including glycoproteins, nucleosides and nucleotides, amino acids, oligopeptides).
Solcoseryl improves transport of oxygen and glucose to cells under hypoxic conditions, increases synthesis of intracellular ATP and promotes increase of aerobic glycolysis and oxidative phosphorylation, activates reparative and regenerative processes in tissues, stimulates proliferation of fibroblasts and synthesis of collagen in vascular wall.

standardized chemically and biologically (in terms of dry matter) 2.07 mg;
Excipients:
Cetyl alcohol;
Cholesterol;
White Vaseline;
Water for Injection.
How to take, the dosage
Solcoseryl is used topically, applied directly to the wound surface after preliminary cleansing of the wound with a disinfectant solution.
Pre-treatment of trophic ulcers, as well as in cases of purulent wound infection requires preliminary surgical treatment. Solcoseryl gel is applied to fresh wounds, wounds with wet discharge, sores with wetting phenomena with a thin layer on a cleaned wound 2-3 times a day.
The areas where epithelialization has begun are recommended to be smeared with Solcoseryl ointment. Application of Solcoseryl gel continues until the formation of pronounced granulation tissue on the damaged skin surface and drying of the wound. Solcoseryl ointment is applied in a thin layer on the cleaned wound 1-2 times a day.
Solcoseryl ointment can be used under dressings. The course of treatment with Solcoseryl ointment continues until the wound is completely healed, its epithelialization and the formation of elastic scar tissue.
The simultaneous use of parenteral forms of Solcoseryl is recommended for the treatment of severe trophic skin and soft tissue injuries.
Interaction
Interaction of Solcoseryl with other topical medications has not been established.
Special Instructions
Solcoseryl should not be applied to contaminated wounds because it does not contain antimicrobial components.
In case of pain, redness of the skin near the place of application of Solcoseryl, secretion from the wound, increase in temperature you should immediately consult a doctor.
If the application of Solcoseryl does not show healing of the affected area within 2-3 weeks, a doctor should be consulted.
Contraindications
With caution, use the drug in hyperkalemia, renal failure, heart rhythm disorders, concomitant use of potassium preparations (as Solcoseryl contains potassium), oliguria, anuria, pulmonary edema, severe heart failure.
Side effects
In rare cases allergic reactions (urticaria, hyperemia and swelling at the injection site, increase in body temperature) may develop.
In this case the drug should be discontinued and symptomatic treatment should be prescribed.
Pregnancy use
The use of Solcoseryl, like all other medications, is undesirable during pregnancy and lactation and is possible only if absolutely necessary and under medical supervision.
