An antiseptic agent.

It is sodium tetraborate – a derivative of boric acid.

It has bacteriostatic and fungistatic activity.

It is not absorbed through intact skin.

Indications

As an antiseptic in dermatology, ENT practice, ophthalmology.

Composition

Local solution 20%:

100 g contains borax (sodium tetraborate) – 20 g.

How to take, the dosage

Individual, depending on the indication and the dosage form used.

Special Instructions

May be used together with boric acid as a buffer and antimicrobial agent in eye drops. It is not used internally.

Contraindications

A heightened sensitivity to the storm.

Side effects

Local reactions: Hyperemia and burning sensation at the application site.

Long-term use may cause symptoms of chronic intoxication:

Digestive system: anorexia, gastrointestinal disorders.

CNS side: weakness, confusion, seizure attacks.

Dermatological reactions: dermatitis, alopecia.

Other: menstrual disorders, anemia
