Sinaflan, 0.025% ointment 10 g

Pharmaceutical group:

Glucocorticosteroid for topical use.

Pharmic action:

Synaflan has anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, antiexudative and antipruritic effects.
It reduces the manifestations and eliminates the inflammatory skin reaction.

Pharmacokinetics:

After absorption from the surface of the skin, it is bound to plasma proteins and is metabolized, occurring mainly in the liver. It is excreted through the kidneys.

Indications

Open and chronic inflammatory and allergic skin diseases of non-microbial etiology, accompanied by dry skin (seborrheic dermatitis, eczema of various genesis and localization, neurodermitis, skin itching, psoriasis, sunburn, insect bites).

How to take, the dosage

Externally. A small amount of the drug is applied 2-4 times a day on the skin pre-soaked with a tampon moistened with an antiseptic liquid and lightly rubbed.

The course of treatment depends on the nature of the disease and is usually 5-10 days with prolonged course of the disease up to 25 days. In case of limited lesions the ointment can be applied under an occlusive dressing to enhance the effect.

Do not use more than 2 g of ointment per day under the dressing. The ointment is preferred for dry forms of dermatosis.

Interaction

Compatible with antimicrobial agents. Reduces the activity of hypotensive, diuretic, antiarrhythmic drugs, potassium preparations.

The diuretics (except potassium-saving) increase the risk of hypokalemia.

Special Instructions

Perform only in short courses on small areas of the skin. The drug should not be applied to the face. Avoid getting the drug in the eyes.

The duration of prescription in children should not exceed 5 days. It is recommended to wear loose clothing during treatment.

Patients with common or pink acne may experience an exacerbation of the disease during treatment. To prevent local infectious complications, it is recommended to prescribe in combination with antimicrobial agents.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, cutaneous manifestations of syphilis, skin tuberculosis, “diaper” rash, pink acne, extensive psoriatic plaques, anogenital itching; skin infections caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, pyoderma, varicella, herpes, actinomycosis, blastomycosis, sporotrichosis, trophic ulcers of the shin associated with varicose veins, erosive-ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract, wounds at the application sites, skin cancer, nevus, atheroma, melanoma, hemangioma, xanthoma, sarcoma, pregnancy, lactation, children (under 2 years).

With caution in girls during puberty.

Side effects

Overdose

Itching, burning of the skin at the site of application of the ointment; with prolonged use on a large body surface hyperglycemia, glucosuria, Icenko-Cushing’s syndrome.

Treatment: symptomatic with gradual withdrawal of the drug.
