How to take, the dosage
Take orally usually once a day in the evening before bedtime with water or some beverage.
Adults and children over 12 years: 1 tablet at a time.
If there is no effect, the dose can be increased to 2-3 tablets.
Children 6-12 years of age: 1/2 tablet and if necessary, increase the dose to 1-2 tablets.
In the fitting process, the same dose should be taken over several days and gradually increased by 1/2 tablet.
If defecation does not occur within 3 days after reaching the maximum dose, a doctor should be consulted.
Interaction
In long-term use of Senade in high doses it is possible to increase the effect of cardiac glycosides and influence on the effect of antiarrhythmic drugs due to the possibility of hypokalemia.
In concomitant use with thiazide diuretics, glucocorticoids, licorice root preparations, the risk of hypokalemia increases.
Special Instructions
It is not recommended to use the drug for more than 2 weeks.
The urine may turn yellow-brown or red-lilac after taking the drug.
Contraindications
- spastic constipation;
- intestinal obstruction;
- abdominal pain of unclear genesis;
- strangulated hernia; acute inflammatory diseases of the abdomen;

CNS side:
convulsions, fatigue, confusion are possible during long-term use, especially in high doses.
Dermatological reactions:
in prolonged use, especially in high doses, skin rash is possible.
Cardiovascular system:
vascular collapse is possible with prolonged use, especially in high doses.
Overdose
The main adverse effect in overdose is diarrhea leading to dehydration.
The conservative measure is to increase fluid intake. This is usually enough to compensate for fluid and electrolyte loss.
In some cases, it is necessary to compensate for fluid and electrolyte loss with intravenous infusions of plasma substitutes.
