Pharmacotherapeutic group: Antinoconstrictive agent – alpha-adrenomimetic.< br>
Pharmacodynamics
Nafazolin is an alpha-adrenergic stimulant with fast, expressed and prolonged vasoconstrictor effect against the vessels of mucous membranes of the nasal cavity, nasopharynx and accessory sinuses – it reduces swelling, hyperemia and exudation improving nasal passageway patency and facilitating nasal breathing. At the same time the patency of the eustachian tubes is restored.< br>
Therapeutic effect usually comes within 5 minutes after the introduction of the drug and lasts for 4-6 hours. Tolerance occurs after 5-7 days.< br> The menthol and eucalyptol contained in the drug have a cooling effect on the nasal mucosa giving a feeling of freshness.

With long-term use, the severity of the vasoconstrictor effect gradually decreases (the phenomenon of tachyphylaxis), and therefore it is recommended to take a break for several days after 5-7 days of use.
Due to the possible development of side effects from the cardiovascular and nervous systems, the dose of the drug recommended for use should not be exceeded.
Avoid contact of the drug with the eyes.
