Pharmacodynamics

A combined preparation of animal origin, contains glycosaminoglycan-peptide complex. The action of the drug is caused by the combined action of its active ingredients.

Normalizes metabolism in cartilaginous hyaline tissue: increases biosynthesis of sulfated mucopolysaccharides and collagen, stimulates articular cartilage regeneration, decreases enzyme activity and inhibits catabolic processes in cartilage tissue.

Indications

Degenerative-dystrophic joint diseases: gonarthrosis, arthrosis of the interfinger joints, coxarthrosis, spondylosis, spondyloarthrosis, meniscopathy, chondromalacia of the patella.

Composition

Solution for intramuscular administration.

1 ampoule contains glycosaminoglycan-peptide complex 1 ml.

How to take, the dosage

The drug is administered deeply intramuscularly: on the first day – 0.3 ml, on the second day – 0.5 ml and then 3 times a week 1 ml for 5-6 weeks.

The repeated course of treatment is after the doctor’s consultation according to the same scheme.

Interaction

Rumalon® may be used concomitantly with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and glucocorticosteroids.

In concomitant use with indirect anticoagulants, antiaggregants and fibrinolytic agents may increase their effect.

Special Instructions

In concomitant use with indirect anticoagulants, antiaggregants and fibrinolytics, frequent monitoring of blood clotting is required.

The use of the drug does not affect the ability to perform potentially hazardous activities requiring increased concentration and quick psychomotor reactions (driving vehicles, working with moving machinery, work of dispatcher and operator).
