Rinicold is anticongestive, analgesic, antipyretic.
It has antipyretic and analgesic effect (paracetamol); it narrows blood vessels, eliminates nasal congestion and reduces nasal secretions (phenylephrine); has anti-allergic and anti-edema effects, reduces vascular permeability, eliminates nasal mucosal swelling and hyperemia, suppresses symptoms of allergic rhinitis, eases breathing (chlorpheniramine); stimulates the CNS, reduces fatigue and sleepiness, increases mental and physical performance (caffeine).
Pharmacodynamics
The combination drug.
Paracetamol has antipyretic and analgesic effects.
Phenylephrine has a vasoconstrictor effect, thus helping to relieve nasal congestion and reduce nasal discharge.
Chloropheniramine has anti-allergic and anti-edema effects. It reduces vascular permeability, eliminates nasal mucosal swelling and hyperemia and suppresses symptoms of allergic rhinitis, facilitating breathing.
Caffeine has a stimulating effect on the CNS, resulting in decreased fatigue and sleepiness and increased mental and physical performance.

Indications
It is used for colds accompanied by runny nose, stuffy nose, headache, fever, chills, joint and muscle pain.
It has antipyretic, analgesic, vasoconstrictor effects, anti-allergic and anti-edema effects.
It reduces vascular permeability and alleviates edema and hyperemia of the nasal mucosa making breathing easier.

How to take, the dosage
The drug is prescribed orally.
Interaction
The drug increases the effect of sedatives, ethanol.
The concomitant use with antidepressants, antiparkinsonian drugs, antipsychotic drugs, phenothiazine derivatives (chlorpromazine, trifluoperazine, levomepromazine) increases the risk of urinary retention, dry mouth, constipation.
Concomitant use with GCS increases the risk of glaucoma.
Chlorphenamine when used concomitantly with MAO inhibitors, furazolidone may lead to hypertensive crisis, agitation.
Tricyclic antidepressants increase the sympathomimetic effect of the drug, concomitant administration of halothane increases the risk of ventricular arrhythmia. Reduces the hypotensive effect of guanethidine, which, in turn, increases the alpha-adrenergic stimulating activity of phenylephrine.
Special Instructions
Consult a specialist before use.
Alcohol should not be taken during treatment.
Rinicold should not be taken together with other drugs containing paracetamol.
Impact on the ability to drive vehicles and perform work requiring increased concentration.
Caution should be exercised when performing work requiring concentration, rapid motor and mental reactions.
Contraindications
With caution: glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency; blood diseases, hepatic and/or renal insufficiency, closed-angle glaucoma, prostate adenoma; Gilbert syndrome, hypertension, thyroid disorders, diabetes, bronchial asthma.
Side effects
Overdose
Symptoms: pale skin, anorexia, nausea, vomiting; hepatonecrosis; increased liver transaminases activity, increased PV. In case of overdose it is necessary to consult a physician urgently.
Treatment: gastric lavage followed by administration of activated charcoal; symptomatic therapy.
Pregnancy use
It is contraindicated in children under 6 years of age, pregnant and lactating women.
