Rinicold Broncho is a combination drug; its components guaifenesin and ambroxol reduce the viscosity of the bronchial secretion and facilitate expectoration.
Indications
Colds, flu and acute respiratory infections, accompanied by a cough with difficult to detach viscous sputum.

chlorphenamine maleate 2 mg;
phenylephrine hydrochloride 5 mg;
Guaifenesin 100 mg;
Associates:
sucrose, 4000 mg;
methylparahydroxybenzoate, 18 mg;
propylparahydroxybenzoate – 2 mg;
dinatrium edetate – 2 mg;
sorbitol 70% solution – 1000 mg;
Glycerin (glycerol) – 500 mg;
Menthol – 1 mg;
citric acid – 2 mg;
sodium citrate – 5 mg;
sodium citrate – 5 mg./p>
melon flavoring – 0.03 ml;
Sunset Yellow dye (E110) – 0.66 mg;
purified water – q.s. to 10 ml.
How to take, the dosage
Internal. Shake well before use!
The recommended dose for adults and children over 12 years of age is 20 ml (4 teaspoons) 3 times a day. The recommended dose for children 6-12 years old is 10 ml (2 teaspoonfuls) 2-3 times a day. Administration of the drug should be evenly distributed throughout the day.
Interaction
The drug increases the effect of sedatives, ethanol.
The concomitant use with antidepressants, phenothiazine derivatives (chlorpromazine, trifluoperazine, levomepromazine), antiparkinsonian and antipsychotic drugs increases the risk of urinary retention, dry mouth, constipation.
Concomitant use with GCS (prednisolone, dexamethasone, triamcinolone) increases the risk of glaucoma. Chlorphenamine when used concomitantly with MAO inhibitors (nialamide), furazolidone may lead to hypertension, agitation, hyperpyrexia.
The use together with tricyclic antidepressants increases the sympathomimetic effect, with halothane – the risk of ventricular arrhythmia increases, with guanethidine – its hypotensive effect decreases. Guanethidine, in turn, increases the alpha-adrenergic stimulating activity of phenylephrine, which is part of the drug.
The simultaneous use of ambroxol and guaifenesin with cough suppressants leads to difficulty in phlegm discharge.
Special Instructions
The use of the drug for more than 7 days without a prescription is not recommended.
When using the drug it is possible that the urine may turn pink.
Contraindications
With caution, the drug should be prescribed in renal and/or hepatic failure.
Side effects
Cardiovascular system disorders: BP elevation, tachycardia may occur.
CNS disorders: headache, drowsiness, dizziness, increased excitability, difficulty falling asleep. In children excitement, restlessness and irritability are possible. In elderly patients confusion and irritability are also possible.
Digestive system disorders: nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea, epigastric pain.
VIight: mydriasis, accommodation paralysis, increased intraocular pressure.
Allergic reactions: skin rash, itching, Quincke’s edema.
Others: dry mucous membranes, difficulty in urination.
Overdose
Symptoms: increased severity of side effects.
Treatment: gastric lavage, activated charcoal, laxatives (Vaseline oil, saline laxatives); symptomatic therapy. In severe violations should consult a doctor.
