Our vision is directly dependent on the density of the macula (yellow spot), the central part of the retina.

The plant carotenoids (lutein and zeaxanthin) accumulate in the yellow spot and block the harmful effects of ultraviolet light.

They act as strong antioxidants, blocking the effects of free radicals that damage eye tissue and contribute to decreased vision.

VITAMINS C and E

The most common antioxidants that reinforce and complement each other’s actions to protect eye tissue from damage.

They help restore the visual pigments (rhodopsin and others) of the rods and cones that are responsible for normal light and color perception.

They have a neuroprotective effect. They help strengthen the eye muscles and ligaments.

Zinc, copper, selenium

You need trace elements for the maintenance of visual function. They also have an antioxidant effect, as well as a balancing effect against the adverse effects of the environment.
