Isotretinoin is one of the biologically active forms of vitamin A. It inhibits the terminal differentiation of sebocytes, hyperproliferation of the epithelium of the sebaceous ducts, normalizes the composition of their secretion and facilitates its evacuation.
This reduces the production of sebum, facilitates its secretion, normalizes its composition and reduces the inflammatory reaction around the glands. The solution has antiseborrheic, anti-inflammatory, keratolytic effects; it enhances regeneration processes in the skin.
Indications
In adults and adolescents over 11 years of age, papulopustular and comedonal forms of acne vulgaris, rosacea (with a small number of rashes), perioral dermatitis, mild seborrheic dermatitis.
After discontinuation of retinoids used orally or rectally, it is possible to use the drug Retasol in order to maintain the achieved clinical effect.

Due to this, the production of sebum is reduced, its secretion is facilitated, the composition is normalized, and the inflammatory reaction around the glands is reduced. The solution has antiseborrheic, anti-inflammatory, keratolytic effects; enhances regeneration processes in the skin.
Special instructions
It is not recommended to apply the solution to the skin around the eyes, or in cases of severe acute inflammation.
Do not apply to mucous membranes.

Pregnancy
Contraindicated during pregnancy, breastfeeding and women planning pregnancy.
Contraindications
Pregnancy, established and planned, lactation, hypersensitivity to isotretinoin, simultaneous use of tetracycline antibiotics.
Side Effects
Dermatological reactions: dry mucous membranes, skin rash, dermatitis, itching, cheilitis, erythema (especially on the face), sweating, palmoplantar peeling, paronychia, nail dystrophy, increased proliferation of granulation tissue in the affected area, rarely – thinning hair, vasculitis, photosensitivity.
Interaction
The solution should not be prescribed to patients receiving other drugs from the reginoid group in order to reduce the risk of hypervitaminosis A. The effect of the solution is weakened by the simultaneous prescription of antibiotics of the tetracycline group, as well as by local use of glucocorticosteroids.
Overdose
With prolonged use, overdose phenomena are possible: redness and peeling of the skin at the sites of application of the drug, cheilitis. The phenomena of overdose quickly disappear after discontinuation of the drug and the use of local glucocorticosteroids.
