Retasol, 0.025% 50 ml

Isotretinoin is one of the biologically active forms of vitamin A. It inhibits the terminal differentiation of sebocytes, hyperproliferation of the epithelium of the sebaceous ducts, normalizes the composition of their secretion and facilitates its evacuation.

This reduces the production of sebum, facilitates its secretion, normalizes its composition and reduces the inflammatory reaction around the glands. The solution has antiseborrheic, anti-inflammatory, keratolytic effects; it enhances regeneration processes in the skin.

Indications

In adults and adolescents over 11 years, papulopustular and comedonal forms of common acne, rosacea (with a small number of rashes), perioral dermatitis, mild seborrheic dermatitis.

After withdrawal of retinoids used orally or rectally, Retasol may be used to maintain the achieved clinical effect.

How to take, the dosage

Retasol is used externally.

In case of acne, rosacea apply with a cotton swab to pre-cleaned skin 2 times a day.

The duration of treatment is 4-12 weeks.

The repeated course of treatment is possible after the doctor’s consultation.

Interaction

Special Instructions

The solution should not be applied to the skin around the eyes or if there is severe acute inflammation.

Do not apply to mucous membranes.

Contraindications

Pregnancy, established and planned, lactation, hypersensitivity to isotretinoin, simultaneous use of tetracycline antibiotics.

Side effects

Dermatological reactions: dry mucous membranes, skin rash, dermatitis, pruritus, cheilitis, erythema (especially on the face), sweating, palmar-sandibular peeling, paronychia, nail dystrophy, increased growth of granulation tissue in the affected area, rarely – thinning of hair, vasculitis, photosensitivity.
