Pharmacological properties: Triterpene saponin escine contained in horse chestnut extract, stimulates interreceptors of rectal mucosa, causing its peristalsis and rapid evacuation of feces. The effect occurs 5-15 minutes after application of the suppository. The urge to empty the bowels stops after the act of defecation.

The drug does not cause stretching of the walls of the rectum, strengthens and tones the smooth muscles of the organ. With a course of use, the drug restores the defecation reflex and normalizes the biorhythm of defecation.

Indications

Composition

Active ingredient: Horse chestnut seed extract (Horse chestnut seed extract dry) containing 20% of the sum of triterpene saponins in terms of escine 50 mg or 100 mg.
Auxiliary substances: Fatty acids glycerides (Vitepsol H15, Kernosol 35 Solid Fat) 0.95 g or 0.90 g.

How to take, the dosage

The drug is used rectally (inserted into the rectum) once a day 5-15 minutes before the planned act of defecation. To remove the suppository from the cell pack, break off one cell with the suppository along the notch and, separating the edges of the tape, pull them in different directions. Insert the suppository into the anus with the pointed end, as deep as possible. For more comfortable insertion of the suppository it is recommended to bend over, squat or lie on your side with your legs tucked.
Dose for adults: 50-100 mg per day; maximum single dose: 300 mg; maximum daily dose: 300 mg.
The duration of one course of the drug treatment is 14 days. You should talk to your doctor about further treatment with the drug.

If after treatment no improvement or if symptoms get worse or new symptoms develop, you should talk to your doctor.

Special Instructions

If during the use of the drug the symptoms persist without improvement for more than 2 weeks or worsen, you should consult a doctor.

Influence on driving and operating ability: The use of the drug does not affect the ability to perform potentially dangerous activities requiring increased concentration and quick psychomotor reactions (driving, operating moving machinery, dispatcher and operator work).
