Pharmgroup:

Dermatoprotective agent.

Pharmaceutical action:

Stimulates skin regeneration, increases the reproduction of skin epithelial cells, inhibits the processes of keratinization, prevents the development of hyperkeratosis.

The local action is caused by the presence of specific retinol-binding receptors on the surface of epithelial cells.

Pharmacokinetics:

Redecyl® easily penetrates into the skin and the maximum concentration of active substances in blood is reached 3-4 hours after application and remains for 12 hours.

The half-life is 5.5 hours.

Indications

Ichthyosis,
seborrheic dermatitis,
psoriasis, pyoderma,
hyperkeratosis,
atopic dermatitis,
neurodermatitis,
eczema, frostbite,
burns,
erosion,
ulcers,
cracks,
skin atrophy after long-term use of GCS.

Dioxomethyltetrahydropyrimidine, Retinol

Composition

Active ingredients:

retinol palmitate (retinol) (100% equivalent) 0.5 g,

methyluracil (dioxomethyltetrahydropyrimidine) 3 g;

Excipients:

butylated hydroxytoluene;

butylated hydroxyanisole;

emulsion wax;

Vaseline oil;

glycerin (glycerol);

ethyl alcohol (ethanol) 95%;

purified water – up to 100 g

Pregnancy

The drug is contraindicated for use in the first trimester of pregnancy.

During lactation (breastfeeding) it is not recommended to apply to the skin of the mammary glands.

Contraindications

Hypervitaminosis A,
acute inflammatory skin diseases,
I trimester of pregnancy,
hypersensitivity to the components of Redecil.

Side Effects

Local reactions: increased itching, hyperemia.

Possible: allergic reactions.

The occurrence of these side effects requires discontinuation of the drug.

Interaction

Should not be used in combination with other drugs containing vitamin A and retinoids to avoid hypervitaminosis A.

Not compatible with tetracycline antibiotics.
