Pharmacodynamics

The antiallergic action of Psilo-Balm® is due to the presence of diphenhydramine hydrochloride in its composition, which is a blocker of H1-histamine receptors and as a consequence it quickly reduces itching, pain, hyperemia, decreases increased capillary permeability and tissue edema; Causes local anesthesia, due to which Pilo-Balm® has a pleasant cooling effect. The special gel base protects the skin and leaves no visible residue.

Pharmacokinetics

When used topically, absorption is low; disturbance of skin integrity increases absorption of the drug.

The drug contains light fatty components and can be used as a skin cream.

Patient should avoid sun exposure and alcohol consumption during treatment with Psilo-Balm.
