Pseudomonas Bacteriophage has the ability to selectively destroy pseudomonas microorganisms.

The bactericidal effect of bacteriophages is caused by the specific lysis of pathogenic bacteria in the inflammatory focus. Bacterial death occurs due to adsorption of virulent bacteriophages on the surface of the microbe cell, penetration into it and intensive reproduction, use of cell organelles for their needs, after which the cell dies.

Peculiarities of pharmacokinetics have not been studied.

Indications

Therapy and prevention of diseases caused by Pseudomonas aeroginosa as part of multicomponent therapy:

lesions of the digestive tract (intestinal dysbiosis, gastroenterocolitis, cholecystitis);
surgical diseases (hidradenitis, wound suppuration, felon, carbuncle, phlegmon, boils, burns, abscess);
diseases of newborns of a purulent-inflammatory nature (intestinal dysbiosis, gastroenterocolitis, omphalitis, pyoderma, sepsis, conjunctivitis);
urogenital infections (pyelonephritis, cystitis, urethritis, colpitis, endometritis, salpingoophoritis);
diseases of the ear, nose, throat, respiratory tract and lungs (sore throat, otitis media, laryngitis, pharyngitis, pneumonia, bronchitis, pleurisy);
conjunctivitis, corneal ulcer, keratoconjunctivitis;
generalized septic lesions and other diseases associated with Pseudomonas aeroginosa;
prevention of hospital infections associated with Pseudomonas aeroginosa.

Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteriophage has the ability to selectively destroy Pseudomonas aeruginosa microorganisms.

The death of bacteria occurs due to the adsorption of virulent bacteriophages on the surface of the microbial cell, penetration into it and intensive reproduction, use of cell organelles for their needs, after which the cell dies.

Pharmacokinetic features have not been studied.

Special instructions

Before use, the bottle with the drug must be shaken and its transparency and the presence of sediment assessed. If turbidity or sediment is detected, the drug should not be used!

Due to the presence in the drug of a favorable climate for the development of microorganisms from the environment that cause turbidity of the solution, opening the bottle should be done according to the rules indicated below:

hands must be washed thoroughly before working with the product;
before removing, the lid must be treated with an alcohol-containing solution;
remove the cap without removing the stopper;
the drug should be removed from an opened container only by piercing the stopper with a sterile syringe;
if during opening the cork was accidentally removed along with the cap, then it must not be placed on the table with the inner surface, and the container should not be left open (after taking the solution, it must be sealed with a cork);
The opened bottle should be stored in the refrigerator.

If these rules are followed and there is no turbidity, then Pseudomonas Bacteriophage from an open bottle can be used for 2 years (the entire shelf life).

Composition

The solution of the drug Pseudomonas aeruginosa Bacteriophage includes a purified sterile filtrate of the phagolysate of Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

An additional substance is quinosol (preservative).

Contraindications

None.

Not installed.

Interaction

The drug can be combined with anti-inflammatory and antibacterial agents.

If antiseptics were used for treatment before using the medication, the wound must be washed with a sodium chloride solution.

Overdose

Similar cases have not been described.
