Pharmacological properties

The drug has anti-inflammatory, anti-edema, immunomodulatory, antiproliferative and antiandrogenic effects.

Anti-inflammatory and anti-edema effect:

is due to the inhibition of the main links of the cascade of arachidonic acid and the synthesis of prostaglandins and leukotrienes with a consequent decrease in permeability and, consequently, a decrease in pain, inflammation and swelling of prostate tissue.

Immunomodulatory action:

due to the suppression of autoimmune effects on prostate tissue in inflammatory processes, as well as reducing the proliferation of active lymphocytes.

Antiproliferative and antiandrogenic action:

Particularly associated with inhibition of aromatase and 5α-reductase enzymes, which in turn prevents the formation of estradiol and dihydrotestosterone from testosterone, which promote prostate tissue growth.

Prostagut forte reduces symptoms of urinary dysfunction caused by benign prostatic hyperplasia. Prostagut Forte decreases pain and burning sensation while urinating and helps quicker urinary bladder emptying and decreases frequency of false and night urge to urinate.

It has no effect on sexual activity.

Pharmacological properties

Anti-inflammatory and anti-edematous effect:

is caused by inhibition of the main links of the arachidonic acid cascade and the synthesis of prostaglandins and leukotrienes with a subsequent decrease in permeability and, as a consequence, a decrease in pain, inflammation and swelling of prostate tissue.

Immunomodulatory effect:

Prostagut Forte reduces the symptoms of urinary disorders caused by benign prostatic hyperplasia. Prostagut Forte reduces pain and burning sensation when urinating, promotes rapid emptying of the bladder and reduces the frequency of false and nighttime urges to urinate.

Does not affect sexual activity.

Special instructions

This drug only reduces the severity of symptoms caused by prostate enlargement, without eliminating the enlargement itself. In this regard, it is recommended to regularly visit a doctor for follow-up examinations, especially if blood appears in the urine and with acute urinary retention.

The effect of the drug on the ability to drive vehicles and machinery

The use of the drug does not affect the performance of potentially hazardous activities that require increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions (driving vehicles, working with moving mechanisms).

There are no corresponding indications for use in women. There is no data on excretion in breast milk.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients, in particular to soy and peanuts, as soy may cause cross-allergy.

Age up to 18 years, pregnancy, breastfeeding period.

With caution

Patients with large residual urine volumes and/or significantly reduced urinary flow should be regularly monitored for obstructive uropathy.

Side Effects

Allergic reactions are possible. In some cases, minor gastrointestinal disorders (abdominal pain, nausea, diarrhea or constipation) may occur. If side effects that are not described in these instructions occur, you should inform your doctor.
