Pharmacological effects

The May apple grows in the rainforests of the eastern United States and Canada. It is a perennial plant with a horizontal rhizome, two petiolate leaves, flower and fruit.
Its dried rhizome is used.

The active substances consist mainly of the resin, podophyllin, which contains ligans; they occur either in a free state or as glycosides (podophyllotoxin, alpha-peltatin, beta-peltatin).

– Symptomatic treatment of acute diarrhea.

– Traveler’s Diarrhea.

– Watery diarrhea of various colors, smelly, profuse, vomits in a strong stream.

– Disorders of the liver and biliary tract, accompanied by headache. Jaundice.

– Partial blockage syndromes caused by cholelithiasis. Clinical follow-up with ultrasound studies is important.

– Rectal prolapse, hemorrhoids.

Gynecology

– Ovarian pain accompanied by digestive distress.

How to take, the dosage

Sublingually.

The pellets should be taken by mouth 30 minutes before a meal or 60 minutes after a meal.

Children from 0 to 3 years must first dilute the pellets by shaking them in 10-15 ml of water at room temperature and then give them to drink.

The optimal amount per oral dose is 5 pellets.
