Pinosol nasal ointment, nasal ointment 10 g

A combined preparation containing a mixture of essential oils with natural substances in vegetable oil.

The drug has anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial action, increases granulation.

Pinosol improves the condition of the patient by facilitating nasal breathing by reducing nasal secretion and increasing the patency of the nasal passages.

In the chronic course of the disease, the drug increases blood circulation of the mucous membrane of the nose, larynx, trachea and helps restore its function.

Indications

Acute and chronic inflammatory diseases of the mucous membranes of the nose and nasopharynx, accompanied by drying of the nasal mucous membranes;

conditions after nasal surgery and nasal tamponade (in hospital and outpatient).

Composition

Active substances:

Pine oil 685 mg;

Eucalyptus oil 432.50 mg;

alpha-tocopherol acetate 288.50 mg;

thymol21.75 mg;

levomenthol72.25 mg;

Excipients:

white petroleum jelly;

white wax;

macrogoal and apricot oil glycerides esters (labrafil M-1944-CS);

butyl hydroxyanisole

How to take, the dosage

Topically.

Adults and children (over 2 years of age) – approximately 0.5 cm in each nasal passage (unless otherwise prescribed).

The ointment is applied to the mucosal surface of the anterior nasal passages.

A cotton swab (a stick wrapped at the end with a lump of absorbent cotton) can be used to administer it.

Then, using moderate pressure on the nasal wings, rub the ointment over the nasal mucosa.

The procedure is repeated 3-4 times a day.

The treatment duration is 7-14 days.

Lengthening the course of treatment is possible on the doctor’s recommendation.

Contraindications

Side effects

In rare cases, allergic reactions, mild burning, itching, swelling of the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity may occur.
