Pharmgroup:Medications that prevent the formation and promote the dissolution of concrements in combination.

Pharmacological action: Phytolysin is a combined herbal medicine with diuretic, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic action.

It promotes the washout of sand and small concrements from the urinary tract, reduces the crystallization of the mineral components of the urine.

Indications

– infectious and inflammatory diseases of the urinary tract (in the complex therapy);
– nephrourolithiasis (in the complex therapy).

Active ingredient

Composition

100 g:

– condensed extract of a mixture (grass of goldenrod, herb horsetail, grass of bird’s-quarters, rhizomes of couch grass, husks of onions, birch leaves, fenugreek seeds, parsley root, amaranth root) 67.2 g

– orange oil 150 mg

– sage oil 1 g

– peppermint herb oil 500 mg

– oil of common pine 200 mg

Excipients: agar-agar – 1.2 g, ethylparahydroxybenzoate – 0.2 g, wheat starch – 2.3 g, vanillin – 0.0004 g, glycerol (glycerin) – up to 100 g.

How to take, the dosage

In adults Fitolizin is prescribed orally by 1 teaspoon of paste dissolved in 1/2 cup of warm sweet water 3-4 times a day after meals.

The duration of therapy is determined by the doctor. The average course of treatment is from 2 weeks to 1.5 months. It is possible to increase the duration of treatment by prescription.

Interaction

Phytolysin may increase the effect of anticoagulants, NSAIDs, hypoglycemic agents, drugs containing lithium salts, MAO inhibitors.

May prolong the effect of phentobarbital, paracetamol.

Phytolysin may reduce absorption of drugs in the small intestine, including beta-carotene, alpha-tocopherol.

Special Instructions

Phytolysin should not be used in case of edema due to heart or kidney dysfunction.

Impact on the ability to drive and operate machinery:

The use of the drug does not adversely affect the ability to perform potentially hazardous activities requiring increased concentration and rapid psychomotor reactions (including driving a car and other vehicles, working with moving mechanisms).

Contraindications

– renal failure;
– heart failure;
– glomerulonephritis;
– phosphate urolithiasis;
– age under 18 years;
– hypersensitivity to the drug components.

Side effects

Allergic reactions and sometimes nausea may occur.

In case of hypersensitivity to ultraviolet rays photosensitization is possible.

If side effects occur, the drug should be discontinued.
