Pregnancy

Adequate and well-controlled clinical studies of the safety of pentoxifylline during pregnancy have not been conducted.

Contraindications

Acute myocardial infarction, massive bleeding, retinal hemorrhage, cerebral hemorrhage, simple diabetic and proliferating diabetic retinopathy.

Side Effects

From the digestive system: nausea, vomiting, pain and a feeling of heaviness in the epigastrium, diarrhea are possible.

Interaction

Pentoxifylline may potentiate the effect of antihypertensive drugs.
