Pentaflucin, 5 g 5 pcs

Pentaflucin is a combined medicine with antipyretic and anti-inflammatory effects. Its action is due to the constituent active ingredients:

• Paracetamol has antipyretic and analgesic effects. Non-narcotic analgesic, blocks COX1 and COX2 mainly in the CNS, affecting the centers of pain and thermoregulation. In inflamed tissues the cell peroxidase neutralizes the effect of paracetamol on COX, which explains the almost complete lack of anti-inflammatory effect.
• Ascorbic acid plays an important role in the regulation of redox processes, carbohydrate metabolism, blood coagulation, tissue regeneration, increases the body’s resistance.
• Diphenhydramine has antihistamine and anti-inflammatory, sedative and hypnotic effect.
• Rutosine reduces capillary permeability and fragility, has antioxidant properties.

How to take, the dosage

Pentaflucin is taken orally after meals, 1 sachet 3-4 times a day for 3-5 days. Dissolve 1 sachet of Pentaflucin in 1/2 cup of hot water (a slight sediment in the glass is allowed).

The freshly prepared solution should be used.

Interaction

Combination of the drug with barbiturates, anticonvulsants, diphenine, carbamazepine, rifampicin, zidovudine and other inducers of microsomal liver enzymes should be avoided.

Special Instructions

The drug should not be combined with the use of ethanol to avoid toxic liver damage.

Impact on driving and operating machinery

At the time of treatment, it is necessary to refrain from driving and engaging in potentially dangerous activities requiring increased concentration and quick psychomotor reactions.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, renal and/or hepatic insufficiency, blood diseases with tendency to hemorrhage, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, pregnancy, lactation, children (under 16 years).

Side effects

Sleepiness and skin allergic reactions (rash, itching, urticaria), nausea, vomiting, headache, general weakness, dizziness are possible.

Rarely – thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, agranulocytosis.

Hepatotoxic and nephrotoxic effects are possible during long-term use in high doses.

Overdose

Symptoms: nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, after 1-2 days – liver failure, encephalopathy, coma.

Treatment: induce vomiting, gastric lavage, prescription of adsorbents (activated charcoal), symptomatic therapy (administration of methionine, acetylcysteine).

Pregnancy use

Contraindicated: pregnancy and lactation.

Preventive use in children.

Contraindicated: children under 16 years of age.
