Pantoderm plus, cream 5%+0.776% 30 g

Pantoderm plus is a combined drug for topical use.

Dexpanthenol is a B vitamin, a derivative of pantothenic acid. Dexpanthenol is converted in the body into pantothenic acid, which is part of coenzyme A and is involved in acetylation processes, carbohydrate and fat metabolism, in the synthesis of acetylcholine, corticosteroids, porphyrins, stimulates skin regeneration, normalizes cellular metabolism, accelerates mitosis and increases the strength of collagen fibers. It has a regenerating, metabolic and mild anti-inflammatory effect.

Chlorhexidine is an antimicrobial agent and is an antiseptic. Effective against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria including Staphylococcus spp., Enterococcus spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, E.coli, Streptococcus spp. as well as yeast-like fungi and dermatophytes. Remains active in the presence of blood, pus, various secretions and organic substances.

Pantoderm Plus protects the wound surface from infection, suppresses the course of the infection process and accelerates healing.

Indications

Treatment:

– Wounds with a threat of infection, such as abrasions, scratches, cuts, scrapes, cracks, burns;

– Infected superficial skin lesions;

– For treatment of postoperative wounds;

– for chronic wounds, such as trophic ulcers of the shin, bedsores;

– for cracked and inflamed mammary nipples during breastfeeding.

Active ingredient

Composition

100 g of the cream contain:

active ingredients: dexpanthenol (D-panthenol) in terms of 100% substance 5.000 g; chlorhexidine bigluconate, a substance-solution of 20% in terms of chlorhexidine bigluconate 0.776 g;

excipients: Propylene glycol 9,000 g, squalane 3,000 g, liquid paraffin 14,000 g, soft white paraffin 5,000 g, dimethicone 1,000 g, cetostearyl alcohol [cetyl alcohol 60%, stearyl alcohol 40%] 6,700 g, macrogol cetostearate 2,300 g, pantolactone 0,500 g, purified water to 100 g.

How to take, the dosage

Externally. The drug is applied in a thin layer on a pre-cleaned wound surface or inflamed skin area once or several times a day.

The treatment of wounds can be carried out both openly and with the use of bandages.

Milk care for nursing mothers: The cream is applied to the nipples after each feeding.

Interaction

Chlorhexidine is incompatible with soaps and other anionic substances.

As a precautionary measure regarding possible interactions (antagonism or inactivation), do not use simultaneously with other antiseptics.

Special Instructions

Do not allow contact with eyes. Avoid contact with mucous membranes.

The product should not be used to treat or treat the auricle.

The product is not to be used for severe, deep, or highly contaminated wounds (these injuries require medical attention).

If the size of the wound remains permanently large for some time or if the wound does not heal within 10-14 days, then a physician should be consulted. It is also necessary if the edges of the wound are severely hyperemic, the wound suddenly swells and severe pain appears, or if the injury is accompanied by fever.

The drug does not affect the ability to drive vehicles or engage in other potentially hazardous activities that require increased concentration and rapid psychomotor reactions.
