Panthenol-Teva, ointment 5% 35 g

Dexpanthenol is converted in the body into pantothenic acid (vitamin B5), which is part of coenzyme A and is involved in carbohydrate and fat metabolism: acetylation processes, in the synthesis of acetylcholine, corticosteroids, porphyrins.

Dexpanthenol has a regenerating, metabolic and mild anti-inflammatory effect (stimulates skin regeneration, normalizes cell metabolism and increases the strength of collagen fibers).

Indications

In topical application it is quickly absorbed by skin and converted into pantothenic acid, binds with plasma proteins (mainly beta-globulin and albumin).

Pantothenic acid is not metabolized in the body and is excreted unchanged.

How to take, the dosage

Externally.

The drug is applied in a thin layer to the affected areas of the skin once or several times a day.

In the care of diaper rash in infants it is possible to apply the ointment at every diaper change.

The duration of treatment depends on the specifics of the course of the disease and the severity of the condition.

Special Instructions

If the product is used in the genital or anal area, note that the presence of Vaseline increases the risk of condom breakage due to reduced strength of the latex condom and therefore the risk of pregnancy with this type of contraception.
