Digestive enzyme, compensates insufficient secretory function of the pancreas and biliary function of the liver, improves digestion, has proteolytic, amylolytic and lipolytic action.

Included pancreatic enzymes (lipase, alpha-amylase, trypsin, chymotrypsin) contribute to the breakdown of proteins into amino acids, fats into glycerol and fatty acids, starch into dextrins and monosaccharides.

Trypsin suppresses stimulated pancreatic secretion with an analgesic effect.

The enzyme hemicellulase promotes the breakdown of plant fiber, which also improves digestion and reduces the formation of gas in the intestines. Bile extract has a choleretic effect, helps emulsify fats, improves absorption of fats and fat-soluble vitamins and increases lipase activity.

sodium carboxymethyl starch (primogel) – 21.5 mg,

pregelatinized starch (starch 1500) – 16.5 mg,

povidone (polyvinylpyrrolidone low molecular weight medical) – 5 mg,

magnesium stearate – 3.3 mg,

colloidal silicon dioxide (aerosil) – 3.3 mg,

cellulose microcrystalline – to obtain a tablet without a shell of 330 mg.

Coating composition:

Cellacephate (acetyl phthalyl cellulose) – 2.847 mg, polysorbate (tween 80) – 0.85 mg, liquid paraffin (vaseline oil) – 0.5 mg, iron oxide brown (sicovite 70 (E172), ferronate (E172)) – 0.803 mg.

How to take, the dosage

Overly, swallowed whole (without chewing), during or immediately after a meal, with plenty of liquid (if possible alkaline: water, fruit juices).

The dose of the drug is set individually (in terms of lipase) depends on the age and degree of pancreatic failure.

It is not recommended to exceed the maximum daily dose of 15,000-20,000 IU of lipase/kg, especially in patients with cystic fibrosis.

The average dose for adults is 150,000 IU/day; with complete failure of external pancreatic secretory function it is 400,000 IU/day, which corresponds to the daily lipase requirement of an adult.

The duration of treatment may vary from a single dose or a few days (if digestion is disturbed due to errors in the diet) to several months or even years (if permanent replacement therapy is necessary).

Adults – 3-4 tablets 3 times a day. Higher doses are prescribed by the doctor. 2 tablets 2-3 times a day for 2-3 days before radiology or ultrasound examination.

In children over 3 years of age, 100,000 IU/day (for lipase) divided into 3-4 doses.

Special Instructions

The safety of pancreatin use during pregnancy has not been adequately studied.
Use is possible in cases where the expected benefit to the mother exceeds the potential risk to the fetus.

In cystic fibrosis, high doses of pancreatin are not recommended due to increased risk of strictures (fibrous colonopathy). The dose should be adequate to the amount of enzyme needed for fat absorption, taking into account the quality and quantity of food consumed.

Symptoms: With long-term use in high doses – hyperuricosuria. when using high doses in patients with cystic fibrosis – strictures in the ileocecal region and in the ascending colon. Hyperuricemia. In children – constipation.

The treatment: withdrawal of the drug, symptomatic therapy.
