Choline salicylate is a derivative of salicylic acid, when put into the ear has anti-inflammatory and anelgesic effect.
The action of choline salicylate is based on inhibition of cyclooxygenase activity – the enzyme responsible for the synthesis of prostaglandins. Choline salicylate also inhibits the synthesis of thromboxane and prostacyclin.
It also has antimicrobial and antifungal effects (in acidic and alkaline environments).
It has no systemic action when used topically.

Directions for use
In acute and chronic otitis media, myringitis and otitis externa
Push into the external auditory canal 3-4 drops 3-4 times a day.
The course of treatment should not exceed 3 days.
To soften “wax plugs” before they are removed
Push 3-4 drops into the external auditory canal twice a day for 4 days.
We recommend that the bottle be warmed in the hand before using the ear drops to avoid discomfort caused by allowing cold fluid to get into the ear.

There is no need to change the dosing regimen for the elderly, children and patients with hepatic or renal impairment.

Special Instructions
In children under 1 year of age, the drug should be used only under close medical supervision.
Salicylic acid derivatives can cause hearing loss or deafness if they enter the middle ear through a damaged eardrum. Because of this, the drug should not be used without prior examination by an otorhinolaryngologist and without a physician’s instruction.
The effect of the drug on the ability to drive vehicles, machinery
