Ocutyarz ophthalmic moisturizing solution, 10 ml

Ocutyarz is a solution that helps protect the cornea from external exposure.

This medication mimics the properties of tears and lubricates the surface of the eye, moisturizing it and protecting it.

Indications

The drug Ocutyarz is used in ophthalmological practice in case of a lack of natural tear fluid.

The drug is indicated for dryness of the ocular surface in the following cases:

– Sjögren’s syndrome (dry keratoconjunctivitis).

– Permanent use of contact lenses.

– Damage to the corneal surface, erosion of the epithelium, consequences of corneal surgery.

– Disorders of hormonal background during menopause.

– Exposure to the external environment, including cold, wind, smoke, dust, dry air.

– Prolonged exposure to chlorinated water (swimming pool).

– Stressful work at the computer or long drives in the car.

Active ingredient

Composition

The drug Ocutyarz is available in the form of eye drops in 10 ml vials.

The composition of the drug includes the following components:

0.15% sodium salt of hyaluronic acid,

sodium dihydrophosphate,

manganese tetrahydrate,

sodium hydrophosphate,

sodium chloride,

purified water.

Sodium hydrochloric acid or sodium hydroxide is added to achieve optimum pH (6.8-7.6).

How to take, the dosage

The cap should be removed before the Ocutyarz drug is injected.

It is important that after opening the package, the drug is suitable for use for no more than six months.

After opening, press the bottle with two fingers and place 1 drop of the solution on the contact lenses or directly into the conjunctival sac.

Then gently massage the closed eyelids to allow the medicine to spread evenly over the surface of the cornea.

The bottle should be tightly capped and stored only in this condition.

Special Instructions

The drug should not be used if the vial or the protective ring is damaged.

Do not touch the tip of the dropper to a non-sterile surface, as there is a risk of infection and sterility problems.

Do not inject other medications at the same time, but wait a minimum of five minutes if joint instillation is necessary.

Ocutyarz should not be prescribed for infectious diseases of the eyeballs.

To avoid using expired medication, the date of opening of the bottle should be indicated on the surface of the bottle.

Contraindications

Allergic reaction and hypersensitivity to any component is a contraindication to the prescription of the drug Ocutyarz.

Side effects

When using Ocutyarz immediately after instillation, there may be a temporary decrease in vision and discomfort.
