“Nefrosten” is a 100% natural1drug designed to treat infections and non-infectious inflammations of the urinary system2.

The main active ingredients are extracts of lovage, rosemary, goldenrod. These medicinal plants are highly valued for their anticonvulsant and antimicrobial properties. These extracts reinforce each other.

Indications

Chronic cystitis, glomerulonephritis, interstitial nephritis, pyelonephritis, urolithiasis.

Used as part of complex therapy.

Pharmacological effect

“Nefrosten” is a 100% natural1 medicinal product developed for the treatment of infections, as well as non-infectious inflammations of the urinary system2.

The main active components are extracts of lovage, rosemary, and centaury. These medicinal plants are valued for their high anticonvulsant and antimicrobial properties. Extracts collected in one preparation enhance each other’s effects.

Special instructions

For edema caused by cardiac or renal dysfunction, drinking large amounts of fluid is contraindicated.

In case of impaired renal function, the drug should not be prescribed as monotherapy. In case of inflammatory kidney disease, you should consult a doctor for advice.

If there is blood in the urine, pain when urinating, or acute urinary retention, you should immediately consult a doctor.

A single dose of the drug for children from 1 year to 6 years (15 drops) contains up to 0.14 g of absolute ethyl alcohol; a single dose of the drug for school-age children (25 drops) contains up to 0.24 g of absolute ethyl alcohol;
a single dose of the drug for adults (50 drops) contains up to 0.47 g of absolute ethyl alcohol.

The maximum daily dose of the drug for adults (150 drops) contains up to 1.42 g of absolute ethyl alcohol.

During storage, slight turbidity or slight precipitation may occur, which does not affect the effectiveness of the drug.

Impact on the ability to drive vehicles and machinery

During the period of use of the drug, care must be taken when performing potentially hazardous activities that require increased concentration and speed of psychomotor reactions (driving vehicles, working with moving mechanisms, working as a dispatcher, operator).

Active components

Centaury (Centaurium umbellatum, Centianaceae). Centaury grass is rich in phenolic and cinnamic acids, contains tannins, flavonoids, bitter glycosides, the alkaloid gentianine, vitamin C. The main components of centaury help remove excess fluid from the body without disturbing the ion balance (potassium-saving effect).

Lovage (Levisticum officinale, Apiaceae). Lovage root contains tannins, phthalides, resins, furocoumarin bergapten, complex essential oil, and angelic acid. Essential oils help dilate blood vessels in the kidneys, which maintains normal blood supply to the renal epithelium.

Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinale, Lamiaceae). The leaves contain tannins, essential oil, flavonoids, phenolic acids, as well as rosmarinic acid and glycolic acid. A number of phenolic compounds extracted from rosemary exhibit strong antioxidant effects and promote healthy kidney and bladder function.

Composition

To prepare the drug you need:

Active components:

centaury grass – 0.6 g,

lovage medicinal roots – 0.6 g,

rosemary leaves – 0.6 g.

Excipients:

ethyl alcohol (ethanol) 62% – 29.0 g,

purified water – sufficient quantity to obtain 100 g of the drug.

Pregnancy

The use of the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding is possible only as prescribed by a doctor, if the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus and child.

Side Effects

Allergic reactions are possible. Dyspeptic disorders (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea) are possible.

At the first signs of an allergic reaction, you should stop taking the drug and consult a doctor.

If you experience the side effects listed in the instructions or they get worse, or you notice any other side effects not listed in the instructions, tell your doctor.

Interaction

Combination with antibacterial agents is possible and advisable. There is no information about clinically significant interactions with other drugs.

Overdose

To date, no cases of overdose have been registered.
In case of drug overdose, symptomatic treatment is prescribed.

Shelf life

3 years.

After opening the bottle, the shelf life is 6 months.
