Natecal D3 is a combined drug that regulates calcium and phosphorus metabolism in the body.

Limits resorption (resorption) and increases bone density by replenishing the lack of calcium and vitamin D₃ in the body.

Vitamin D₃ increases absorption of calcium in the gastrointestinal tract and its binding in bone tissue.

The use of calcium and vitamin D₃ prevents increased production of parathyroid hormone (which is a stimulant of increased bone resorption (leaching of calcium from bones).

Active ingredient

Composition

One tablet contains:
Active ingredients: calcium carbonate – 1500 mg (equivalent to Ca2+ – 600 mg), cholecalciferol – 400 IU (equivalent to dry vitamin D3 * – 4 mg).
Auxiliary substances: maltodextrin, citric acid anhydrous, hydroxypropyl cellulose low molecular weight, lactose monohydrate, aspartame, orange flavoring, stearic acid;
* alpha-tocopherol acetate, hydrogenated soybean oil, gelatin, sucrose, corn starch.

How to take, the dosage

Consult your doctor before use. For adults only. The tablet should be sucked out, but not swallowed whole.
As a preventive measure: 1-2 chewable tablets a day, mostly with meals.
For therapy of osteoporosis and to compensate calcium and vitamin D3 deficiency in the elderly: course and dosage in accordance with the doctor’s recommendations.

Contraindications

High sensitivity to one of the ingredients of the drug (including
intolerance of some sugars: lactose, sucrose, sorbitol, fructose;
phenylketonuria;
lung tuberculosis in the active form;
hypercalcemia (increased calcium content in blood – in persons with increased function of parathyroid glands);
hypercalciuria (increased excretion of calcium with urine);
renal stone disease (calcium stones formation);
sarcoidosis and tumor metastases in bones;
osteoporosis due to prolonged immobilization;
vitamin D3 overdose

Side effects

Overdose

Symptoms: thirst and polyuria, decreased appetite, nausea, vomiting, constipation, dizziness, weakness, headache, fainting, coma; with long-term use: vascular and tissue calcinosis. Laboratory parameters in overdose: hypercalciuria, hypercalcemia (plasma calcium about 2.6 mmol).
Treatment: rehydration, “loop” diuretics, glucocorticosteroids, calcitonin, bisphosphonates, diet with calcium restriction, hemodialysis.

Pregnancy use

Possible, but no more than 1,500 mg of calcium and 600 IU of vitamin D3 per day.
