Neches Bounty Omega-3 has therapeutic effect on lipid metabolism disorders caused by severe hypertriglyceridemia, has anti-inflammatory effects.

It promotes normalization of HDL and LDL, changes in the fluid properties of cell membranes and increases the functional activity of membrane receptors, which improves lipid-cell interaction of lipoproteins with enzymes and lipoprotein metabolism.

The antiplatelet action of the drug is connected with the change of lipid composition of cell membranes including erythrocyte membranes under its influence. It causes decrease of arachidonic acid content in membranes and increase of eicosapentaenoic acid level.

As a consequence of this there is a decrease of the synthesis of thromboxane A2 and other divalent eicosanoids (derivatives of arachidonic acid), increasing the aggregation of platelets and increasing the synthesis from eicosapentaenoic acid of thromboxane A3 and other trienesaturated eicosanoids, which do not have pro-aggregant effect.

Vitamin E has antioxidant activity, participates in tissue respiration and other major processes of tissue metabolism, protects cells and tissues from the damaging effects of excess free radicals and products of lipid peroxidation.

How to take, the dosage

The drug is prescribed orally.

Adults are prescribed 1 capful per day for prophylactic purposes; 2-3 capfuls per day for therapeutic purposes.

The course of treatment is not less than 3 months.

The necessity to make repeated courses the doctor will decide individually.

Special Instructions

While taking Vitrum Cardio Omega-3 it is not recommended to take other medicines containing vitamin E.

Contraindications

– Hypersensitivity to the drug components.
– exacerbation of chronic cholecystitis;
– exacerbation of chronic pancreatitis;
– exacerbation of hepatobiliary diseases;
– cholelithiasis;
– pathological conditions, including hemorrhagic syndrome.

Overdose

Symptoms: signs of hypervitaminosis – pain in the epigastric region, dyspeptic complaints (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea), with prolonged use in high doses may worsen chronic pancreatitis.

Treatment: cancellation of the drug, symptomatic therapy.
