Mycoseptin is an antifungal.

It reduces the barrier function of the cell wall of the fungus.

Acts against dermatophytes (Trichophyton, Epidermophyton, Microsporum).

Indications

Prevention of fungal diseases, Skin fungus, Skin itching, Fungus

Prevention and treatment of dermatomycosis, including epidermophytosis, and trichophytosis of the skin of the lower extremities.

Undecylenic acid, Undecylenate zinc

Composition

1 g of the ointment contains:

Active ingredients:

Undecylenic acid 50 mg;

Zinc salt of undecylenic acid 200 mg;

Excipients:

paraffin solid,

liquid paraffin,

solid paraffin (melting point 64-68°C),

white petroleum jelly,

stearic acid,

white wax,

methylparaben,

pork fat monoglycerides (dimodan),

oleomacrogol (wordpol),

purified water.

How to take, the dosage

Externally. Apply to the affected area 2 times a day, after the disappearance of clinical signs – once a day every other day; for prophylaxis – twice a week.

Special Instructions

The drug Micoseptin can not be applied to the open wound surface, damaged skin surface, periorbital area, avoid getting the ointment in the eyes.

Side effects

A hypersensitivity reactions to the components of the drug in the form of redness, itching of the skin, swelling, burning sensation, skin rash are possible.

In case of signs of hypersensitivity, the drug should be discontinued and the doctor should be informed.

Overdose

No cases of overdose have been described. Inadvertent ingestion may cause nausea and vomiting. It is necessary to flush the stomach and consult a physician; if necessary, symptomatic treatment is carried out.

Pregnancy use

The possibility of using Mikoseptin during pregnancy and lactation is determined by the doctor individually.
