Pharmacological properties

Mucaltin is a mixture of polysaccharides from marshmallow herb, has expectorant properties. Through reflex stimulation it increases activity of the atomizing epithelium and peristalsis of the respiratory bronchioles in combination with increased secretion of bronchial glands.

How to take, the dosage

Ingestion.

Adults and children from 12 years: 1-2 tablets 2-3 times a day before meals.

You can dissolve a single dose (1-2 tablets) in 1/3 cup of warm water.

The course of treatment is 7-14 days on average.

If during the treatment period there is no improvement, or if symptoms worsen, or new symptoms develop, you should consult a doctor. Use the medication only according to the indication, route of administration, and dosage listed in the directions.

Interaction

Mucaltin can be prescribed simultaneously with other drugs used in the treatment of bronchopulmonary diseases.

Mucaltin should not be used at the same time as preparations containing codeine and other anti-cough medicines, as this makes it difficult to expectorate the liquefied sputum.
