Modell 911, 1.5 mg tablets

Levonorgestrel is a synthetic gestagen with contraceptive effect. It is used as an emergency contraceptive due to its pronounced gestagenic and anti-estrogenic effects.

Indications

Contraception Emergency (postcoital) contraception within 72 hours (after unprotected intercourse or unreliability of the contraceptive method used).

How to take, the dosage

Oral. 1 tablet should be taken as soon as possible, preferably within 12 hours, but not later than 72 hours after unprotected sexual intercourse. If vomiting occurs within 3 hours after taking the tablet of MODELL® 911, take 1 more tablet of MODELL® 911.

Interaction

Concomitant use with inducers of microsomal liver enzymes accelerates the metabolism of levonorgestrel.

Special Instructions

MODELL® 911 should only be used for emergency contraception. The effectiveness of emergency contraception is reduced by delayed use of MODELL® 911.

Contraindications

• Extreme sensitivity to levonorgestrel or any other component of the drug;
• Severe hepatic impairment;
• lactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption;
• pregnancy;
• children under 16 years of age.

With caution: liver and biliary tract diseases; jaundice (including anamnesis); Crohn’s disease.

Side effects

The frequency of side effects is classified according to the WHO recommendations: very common – at least 10%; common – at least 1%, but less than 10%; infrequent – at least 0.1%, but less than 1%; rare – at least 0.01%, but less than 0.1%; very rare (including isolated cases) – less than 0.01%.

Overdose

Symptoms: nausea, vomiting, bleeding withdrawal.
