Methyluracil has anabolic activity.

It has hematopoietic, leukopoietic, immunostimulatory, anti-inflammatory effects.

Normalizing the nucleic exchange, it accelerates regeneration processes in wounds by accelerating the growth and granulation maturation of tissue and epithelialization (including in the rapidly proliferating cells of the gastrointestinal mucosa), stimulates erythro- and leukopoiesis, cellular and humoral factors of immunity.

How to take, the dosage

Overly, with or after meals.

Adults – 500 mg 4 times daily (if necessary up to 6 times daily, maximum daily dose – 3 g);

Children from 3 to 8 years – 250 mg 3 times a day (maximum daily dose – 750 mg);

Children from 8 years to 14 years – 250-500 mg 3 times a day (maximum daily dose – 1 g.5 г).

The course in diseases of the gastrointestinal tract is 30-40 days; in other cases it may be less long.

Interaction

Enhances the anti-radiation effect of cystamine.

Contraindications

Leukemic forms of leukemia (especially myeloid), lymphogranulematosis, malignant bone marrow diseases.

Side effects

Rarely, allergic skin reactions (urticarial rash), headache, dizziness.
