Menovazine, alcohol 40 ml

Menovazine is a local anesthetic agent.

Racementol (menthol) when applied to the skin causes irritation of nerve endings and dilation of surface vessels of the skin and a feeling of coolness, accompanied by analgesic (analgesic) effect and relief of skin itching.Procaine (novocaine) is a local anesthetic agent with moderate anesthetic activity. It blocks sodium channels, prevents generation of impulses in endings of sensitive nerves and conduction of impulses through nerve fibers.

Benzocaine (anesthesin) is a local anesthetic for surface anesthesia. It prevents the occurrence of pain impulses in the endings of sensitive nerves and their conduction along the nerve fibers.

Menthol increases the local anesthetic effect of procaine (novocaine) and benzocaine (anesthesin) when used simultaneously as part of a combination drug.

Pharmacokinetics

When applied topically, the components of the drug are practically not absorbed into the systemic bloodstream.

Indications

It is used as a local anesthetic for neuralgia, myalgia, arthralgia and pruritic dermatosis.

How to take, the dosage

The drug is used topically, rubbing the affected areas of the skin 2-3 times a day.

The course of treatment continues depending on the therapeutic effect, but not more than 3-4 weeks.

The course may be repeated if necessary.

Contraindications

The use of menovazine is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to one of its components.

Side effects

In prolonged use of menovazine dizziness, general weakness, decreased blood pressure may be observed.

In these cases the drug should be discontinued
