Vitamin A is essential for the biosynthesis of the light-sensitive retinal pigment.
Vitamin D regulates the absorption of calcium.
Vitamin C promotes the absorption of iron and is involved in many redox processes in the body.

Special Instructions
In children under 14 years of age, only if recommended by your doctor. Do not exceed the recommended doses of the drug.
Patients with diabetes may take Macrovit®, but it should be taken into account that 1 film-coated tablet contains: 0.61 g of sucrose and 0.15 g of glucose, and the daily dose: 0.61 g – 1.8 g of sucrose and 0.15 g – 0.45 g of glucose. Macrovit® contains azo dye E PO, which may cause hypersensitivity reactions, with an asthmatic component. Such reactions are more common in patients with hypersensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid.
Possible staining of urine in yellow color – completely harmless and explained by the presence of riboflavin in the drug.
Glycerol may cause headache and gastrointestinal dyspepsia. Macrovit contains polyol, which in some cases may cause diarrhea.
The preparation contains 187 mg of lactose, 614 mg of sucrose, 150 mg of glucose and 131 mg of sorbitol, so it is not recommended for children with congenital glucose and fructose intolerance, with glucose/galactose malabsorption syndrome and sucrose/isomaltose deficiency.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, hypervitaminosis A and D.
Children under 6 years of age.
The drug should not be taken by patients with glucose/galactose malabsorption syndrome or deficiency of lactose, sucrose isomaltose and congenital fructose intolerance.
Overdose
Long-term use of very high doses can lead to hypervitaminosis of vitamins A and D, but the likelihood of an overdose of Macrovit® tablets is minimal.
