Liquid charcoal® is a powder that must be dissolved in water before intake. The resulting solution has the consistency of a gel, gently coats the walls of the stomach and intestines and completely eliminates the possibility of mechanical trauma.

Pectin forms a gel when dissolved in water. It can be visualized as a sponge of molecules. Going through the gastrointestinal tract, the pectin sponge absorbs decay products of medicines, allergens, toxins and other xenobiotics (foreign substances), bile acids, histamine, bilirubin and other toxic metabolic products without letting them be absorbed into blood.
