Licorice root syrup 100 g

An expectorant of plant origin.

Enhances secretory function of the mucous membranes of the upper respiratory tract. Has antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory and immune stimulating effects.

It is used in acute and chronic upper respiratory tract diseases accompanied with coughing, especially in the presence of thick and poorly discharged secretions (especially in children and elderly people).

Indications

Acute and chronic bronchitis, tracheitis, atelectasis due to blockage of the bronchi by a mucus plug, bronchiectasis, pneumonia, bronchial asthma, rehabilitation of the bronchial tree in the pre- and postoperative period.

It is used for acute and chronic diseases of the upper respiratory tract, accompanied by cough, mainly in the presence of thick and difficult to separate secretions (especially in children and the elderly).

Special instructions

Information for patients with diabetes: one spoon of the drug contains 0.29 bread units (XE), 1 drop – 0.0024 XE. The maximum single dose of the drug for adults contains 0.54 g of absolute alcohol, the maximum daily dose is 1.62 g of absolute alcohol, and 1 drop (for children) contains 0.0046 g of absolute alcohol.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity (including to individual components), gastritis, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum in the acute stage.

Side Effects

Nausea, heartburn, allergic reactions.

Interaction

The drug can be prescribed simultaneously with other drugs used in the treatment of bronchopulmonary diseases.

Overdose

When using the drug in doses higher than recommended, dose-dependent side effects may increase. Treatment is symptomatic.
