Special instructions

After insertion, the capsule should not be removed from the vagina, because it is intended for single use.

The drug should not be used before sexual intercourse. The capsule can be inserted after sexual intercourse and toileting of the external genitalia.

Use in patients under 18 years of age is possible on the recommendation of a doctor, taking into account the nature of the disease and individual characteristics.

Impact on the ability to drive vehicles and machinery

The drug does not affect the ability to drive vehicles or machinery.

Composition per capsule:

active substance: live acidophilus lactobacilli – not less than 108 CFU;

excipients: magnesium stearate – 3.00 mg, lactose monohydrate – sufficient amount to obtain a mass of capsule contents of 400.0 mg.

Pregnancy

The drug can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

It is not recommended to use for symptoms of vulvovaginal candidiasis (“thrush”).

No side effects were found when used in recommended doses.

In rare cases, allergic reactions may occur.

Interaction

Lactonorm can be used in combination with other medications. The use of the drug is possible after local administration of antibacterial drugs and/or antiseptics.

Recommendations for use

Before inserting the vaginal capsule, you should wash your hands thoroughly with soap. There are several positions for administering the drug: lying on your back, sitting on the bidet/toilet or standing.

Insert the vaginal capsule into the vagina as deeply as possible with your finger. If necessary, the capsule can be pre-moistened with water.

Action

Lactobacillus acidophilus strains NK1, NK2, NK5, NK12 included in the drug Lactonorm are representatives of normal human microflora. Lactobacilli normalize, maintain and regulate the physiological balance of vaginal microflora. According to the results of in vitro studies, lactobacilli NK1, NK2, NK5, NK12 do not enhance the growth of fungi of the genus Candida albicans.
