Klenzit, gel 0,1% 30 g

The active ingredient of the drug is a retinoid derivative – Adapalene, which has anti-inflammatory and comedolytic activity. Adapalene participates in normalization of epidermal differentiation and keratinization processes, inhibits formation of microcomedones and reduces manifestations of inflammation.

The mechanism of action of the active ingredient of Klenzit lies in its ability to influence specific gamma-receptors of the epidermal cells of the skin, reducing their adhesive surface in the mouths of oil-hair follicles.

In vivo and in vitro studies have proven that Adapalen has a strong anti-inflammatory action due to its effect on inflammatory factors.

Inhibits the metabolism of arachidonic acid and migration of leukocytes.

When the gel is applied externally, the systemic absorption of its active ingredient Adapalen is quite low, about 4% of the used dose. From the systemic bloodstream, excreted by the liver.

Indications

Common (juvenile) acne (acne vulgaris).

The active ingredient:

adapalene 1 mg.

Additional Ingredients:

dinatrium edetate,

carbomer 940 (carbopol 940),

propylene glycol,

methylparahydroxybenzoate,

phenoxyethanol,

poloxamer 407,

sodium hydrochloride,

purified water.

How to take, the dosage

Externally. Before applying Klensit gel it is necessary to clean and dry skin. With a light touch apply the gel evenly to the affected surface once a day before going to bed, avoiding contact of Klensit on the mucous membranes of the eyes and lips.

Therapeutic effect is developed after 4-8 weeks of treatment, stable improvement occurs after 3 months of treatment. In some cases due to transient skin irritation the treatment may be suspended until the signs of irritation disappear.

Repeated treatment is possible after consultation with a doctor.

Special Instructions

In case of accidental contact with the mucous membranes of the eyes, mouth or nose, rinse thoroughly with warm water.

Straight sunlight should be avoided, as skin irritation may occur. Treatment may continue if sun exposure is minimized through the use of sunglasses and hats.

The simultaneous use of cosmetic products with drying and irritating effects on the skin (e.g., perfume or ethanol-containing products) is not recommended.

Adapalene applied to the skin in the evening may be combined with acne medications used in the morning.

Contraindications

With caution should use the drug in dermatitis, eczema.

Side effects

Dermatological reactions: skin irritation (treatment should be suspended until skin irritation disappears or the frequency of use of Klensit should be reduced).

Pregnancy use

The drug is not recommended during pregnancy and lactation (breastfeeding).
