The active ingredient of the drug is a retinoid derivative – Adapalene, which has anti-inflammatory and comedolytic activity. Adapalene participates in normalization of epidermal differentiation and keratinization processes, inhibits formation of microcomedones and reduces manifestations of inflammation.
The mechanism of action of the active ingredient of Klenzit lies in its ability to influence specific gamma-receptors of the epidermal cells of the skin, reducing their adhesive surface in the mouths of oil-hair follicles.
In vivo and in vitro studies have proven that Adapalen has a pronounced anti-inflammatory effect due to its effect on inflammatory factors. It inhibits the metabolism of arachidonic acid and migration of leukocytes.
When the gel is applied externally, the systemic absorption of its active ingredient Adapalen is quite low, about 4% of the used dose.
From the systemic bloodstream, it is excreted by the liver.
Indications
