Keto Plus, shampoo 60 ml

Keto plus is a combined antifungal drug.

Ketoconazole is a synthetic derivative of imidazole-dioxalane.

It has antifungal effect. It is active against dermatophytes (Trichophyton spp., Epydermophyton spp., Microsporum spp.), yeast and yeast-like fungi (Candida spp., Malassezia futur /Pityrosporum ovale/).

Zinc pyrithione has an antiproliferative effect on epithelial cells; it has some activity against Pityrosporum ovale and Pityrosporum orbiculare, which cause excessive skin flaking.

The product quickly reduces scalp flaking and itching associated with dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis.

When used topically, absorption of the active ingredients of the drug through the skin is low. With long-term use of the drug the concentrations of ketoconazole and zinc pyrithione in the blood are not determined.

Special Instructions

Avoid contact with the eyes when using the shampoo. If the shampoo comes into contact with the eyes, rinse them with water.

In patients using topical GCS, to avoid withdrawal syndrome, these should be continued with Keto Plus Shampoo, followed by gradual withdrawal of the GCS for 2-3 weeks.

In rare cases an increase in hair loss has been noted with Keto Plus shampoo.
