Indications

Treatment of HIV infection in adults and children over 6 years of age and weighing 20 kg or more who have previously received antiretroviral therapy (in combination with low dose ritonavir and other antiretroviral drugs).

Special instructions

* Liver dysfunction of mild to moderate severity (class A and B on the Child-Pugh scale)
* Allergy to sulfonamides
* Age over 65
* When taking drugs that bind highly to alpha1-acid glycoprotein while taking drugs.
* In patients with chronic hepatitis (including chronic viral hepatitis B and C).
* In patients with hemophilia.

Darunavir

Contraindications

* Hypersensitivity to darunavir or to any components of the drug.
* Concomitant use with drugs that are metabolized primarily by the cytochrome P450 3A4 isoenzyme, and an increase in plasma concentrations is associated with serious and/or life-threatening side effects (narrow therapeutic range). These drugs include antihistamines (astemizole, terfenadine), alfuzosin, quetiapine, sildenafil (used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension), rifampicin, sedatives/hypnotics (triazolam, oral midazolam), gastrointestinal motility stimulants (cisapride), drugs containing St. John’s wort extract, drugs containing ergot alkaloids (ergotamine, dihydroergotamine, ergometrine and methylergometrine), antiarrhythmic drugs (amiodarone, bepridil, quinidine, lidocaine for systemic use), HMG-Co-A reductase inhibitors (simvastatin, lovastatin), antipsychotics (pimozide, sertindole). * Concomitant use with lopinavir/ritonavir combination.
* Severe liver failure (Child-Pugh class C).
* Children under 6 years of age.

Storage conditions

Store in the original manufacturer’s packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of the reach of children.

Shelf life

2 years. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
