Pharmacodynamics

Framicetin is a bactericidal antibiotic for topical use from the group of aminoglycosides.

The concentration of Framicetin achieved when applied topically ensures its bactericidal activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms, causative agents of upper respiratory tract infections.

Indications

As part of combination therapy for infectious and inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract, including:

Rhinitis.
Rhinopharyngitis.
Sinusitis (in the absence of damage to the septum).

Prevention and treatment of inflammatory processes after surgical interventions.

Composition

1 ml of nasal spray solution contains:

Active ingredient:

framycetin sulfate – 12.5 mg (8 thousand IU);

Excipients:

methyl parahydroxybenzoate,

sodium chloride,

citric acid,

distilled water.

Pregnancy

Adequate and strictly controlled clinical studies of the safety of the use of Isofra during pregnancy and lactation (breastfeeding) have not been conducted.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to framycetin and other aminoglycoside antibiotics.

Side Effects

Allergic reactions: in isolated cases – skin manifestations.

Interaction

No clinically significant interactions of Isofra with other drugs have been identified.

Overdose

Due to the low degree of absorption into the systemic circulation, an overdose is unlikely.
